I have Banachek's This 'n That from Psi Series 1. Very simple and straightforward but they pack a punch.

Eight cards in my wallet. Made then up on my computer.

I have four cards each with a well known Ladies designer brand and logo on them, I use Coach, Victoria's Secret, Chanel & Prada.
I have another four cards this time with well know car brands and logos on them, I use Ford, Jaguar, Mercedes & Ferrari.

I do This 'n That with the designer brands cards for the Ladies or I use the car logo cards for the Gents.

After This 'n That I use the very same cards to do a slightly modified version of Lorayne's Buck again on Psi-Series 1.

If I have any spare cards on me and I am feeling uncharacteristically generous I give the originally chosen card to the spectator as a souvenir.

Regards,

Laurence.

Slyder or Hijacked both by Jay Sankey. Slyder is an epic killer, and you can make the gimmick without the $30 project from Jay Sankey as long as you know it.

Hijacked is just a gimmick that I place in the spot of a credit card (Considering I don't have one). I did it at a state wide band confrence and it killed. In fact I got a girl's number from it ;)

I didn't get the girls number...But still great effect.

Positive Thinking by David Forrest

Its Daves take on Max Maven's "Positive/Negative" and only takes up half the size of a business card.

Place your prediction down, get them to imagine three coins take one, toss it in the air then call head or tales and of course it matches your prediction.

If your in a country with different shapes of coins as well as sizes then you can actually let them pick the three coins you start with for an extra layer of deception.

So! You can't carry an EFFECT in your wallet (or your pocket, or your prop case or............)

You CAN carry a PROP in your wallet, pocket, or prop case. You CAN carry a SECRET in your mind.

All of the above have contributed good suggestions,of good PROPS, (through the use of which, good TRICKS may be PERFORMED)

The EFFECT, if the trick, is well performed, is one of the results of the performance. (The other result, hopefully, is ENTERTAINMENT!)

Mark Wilson's "World's Greatest business card trick"

Many of the previous listed effects are great, I perform several; and after most of them, the spectator walks away with a smile. With Mark's effect, they walk away with that smile AND a business card... It's much better for business and bookings. :)

I find it impossible to keep cards (other than business cards) in my wallet (which is in my back pocket) playing cards would get smashed or irrecoverably bent.

I have a question for those that keep cards in their wallets, are you using back pocket wallets, or breast pocket wallets?

This thread gets longer and longer! I went back to the "other end", this AM, and, note that all but three--maybe four--of those who have "contributed", are JCLs. ["JOHNNY COME LATELYS"] Well, it's OK to be "GREEN". --WHEN YOU'RE GREEN, YOU CAN "RIPEN".

As for ME, I carry my driver's license (yes, I still have one.) a few important papers, cash, and credit cards, in my wallet. I don't even carry my I BOTHER MAGICIANS MEMBERSHIP CARD! (or, my SOME ARE MAGICIANS MEMBERSHIP CARD!)

I joined the "I B M" in 1950, and, "they" have given me a BIG lapel pin, with "ORDER OF MERLIN EXCELSIOR" on it (66 years). I'm a JCL in the SAM. I joined in 1975, after DORNY (the DEAN) invited me. The "funny thing" is: I had nominated DORNY (IBM member #4) to be the DEAN, BEFORE, I was a member of SAM! I told THAT story in my book.

I aint mad at nobody! I just thought that I would "r-post" a few definitions, AGAIN. (MY college professors said: "DEFINE YOUR TERMS!")

I love this thread! I maintain an ever growing list of effects to keep in my wallet, should I ever be without cards or coins. With that being said, some of the things I currently carry do need a deck of cards at minimum handy.

My current wallet contains:

- Pocket Space Plus by Anthony Miller
- Magicard by Mark Jerset (MagicSmith)
- Big Four Poker by Tom Droblowski
- Wallet Size Insurance Policy by MagicMakers
- Business Card Trick from 24/7 Wallet by Magic Apple
- 1089 photograph from 24/7 Wallet by Magic Apple
- Time Stands Still by Jeff Peace (which I go back and forth switching out with In Your Wallet, also by Jeff Peace)

In the past years, I've had any of the 3 "Wallet Wonder Series" by Josh Jay (Vegas Visit,Extra Credit, and Transporter) plus various card to wallets over the years as well. Now I usually keep a D'b'er for that purpose. I'd count fire wallets as well. There are many, many other effects out there that can be kept in your wallet.

Someday, I hope to have a whole act I keep in my wallet.

My current wallet is an Ammar zfold which has some good utility on it's own. I added dividers to each pocket. Now there is a window that money or cards show through and a hold out for whatever. I store a post-it pad (5 pages or so) with either to-do voodoo or mental yarn on one side and the other side I can peel off for use with an imp I have under one window. The z fold works great for heirloom redux and I also carry will to read, my version of organic choice and a variation I made on the Powerball 60 theme. Even with a license, 2 cc's and some bills it is only 12 mm thick and just a little bit wider and taller than a playing card.

As of late I shall have to say Will to Read. Tis quite strong, can be presented many ways, and can also be utilized in combination with other effects.

A stack of business cards and a nail writer goes a long way.

Some business cards with a sharpie and the possibilities are endless. I can do shutterlock. a progressive anagram with a Ouji board, close call and more.I also like to keep fraud and DLT with me as well.

Shout out for ESPerfect from me. Always gets a strong reaction and it's presentational tweakability means I never get bored with it! :)

I don't know what it's called as I learned it decades ago from a fellow magi and made it myself, but I always have in my wallet the effect where I turn a $2 bill into 2 ones.

There's been a lot of good tricks mentioned here, but for me in my wallet a good one to carry (that I've carried for many years now) is from one of our very own here on the Café...John Cesta's, Ultimate Positive Negative. What a great little trick! :D

And it's about the only trick I ever carry in my wallet. :) It is so engaging, brings about the abstract of 3 invisible coins delivering an amazing prediction, leaving the spec with something that they just can't believe just happened...all from the flat-pack of your wallet. ;) I always carry a few on me.

Packs small, plays BIG! :)
