I'll be posting some video from the show & Bozo Circus
over the course of time...
when I cut 'em and get to a wifi spot.

It was requested that someone see him do the
Kuma Tubes because it's one of his best known
effects. Better than Kuma...

So I finally got to a wifi spot and uploaded
him doing a clip from the late 1960's performing
it...Plus he's wearing an Okito costume that was
chosen for him by Okito himself.

These were transfered from 16mm tape. I found them
just before Cooky the Clown passed away. They were
getting ready for the 40th anniversary of the show
and we were able to get them transfered from 16mm
to DVD.

I know many of you will enjoying see him in action.
A flash from the past...

They'll be stored @ my spaces account: http://www.myspace.com/frncs
In the video section here:

Enjoy!

That is wonderful. Thanks for posting that link.

Nobody does the Kuma tubes that way any more. That's beautiful.

Glad you enjoyed it...
More to come.
Just need to find a decent
DVD ripper so I can upload the
smallest zig zag in the world.

Don't worry Bill... If you want
to see the BIG Doll House. I'll
get it up there. With the vintage
Barbie dolls and my dad using a
rifle on public TV!

That's the doll house that Jay came
out of in DRAG!

I wish I could have seen that! Jay had nice legs for a guy. When he was young, that is.

I'm still in search of a photo of that!
I was hoping that someone at the magic

Thank you for putting that video up. The Kuma Tubes are truly magical in the hands of the right performer, and that video was a treat to watch.

I remember Jay being produced out of an Expanding Die, built by John McGinven and it fooled me so bad I nearly fell to the floor. Then dear Jasper walked out through the scenery tipping where he had come from.

Ha ha.

But it doesn't beat Jay in drag coming out of that
huge doll house my dad built!

I bet he got his dress at the Salvation Army.

Someone left a comment at the myspace,
maybe he's from here. Mentioning about
the me and the doll house.

I just realized I don't think I have
any video of us doing that. Maybe Jay does.
I know they have some stuff, but I don't think
we do.

However, I know Dick Zimmerman said he had
video from the World's Greatest Magic tour
in S. America.

Now wouldn't that be great footage to see???

There's not only doll house material of me,
but of a shadow box like trick my father made
specifically for me.

It was only to keep me out of trouble.
Putting me in the show that is.

I am an IMP... Yes I am.

Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see the rest someday Smile

Thanks for posting those videos. I looked at the video a while back and forgot to comment. I love to see older clips like this. It's really fun to watch some of the past masters at work.

Marshall,

Please read all this before judging me too harshly....

I've seen several of your posts about your dad in past threads. I had never heard of him before and to be completely honest I never really had a lot of interest because we've all seen proud parents and proud children brag about their family members and their acheivements that were mostly spectacular only to them.

It was clear in your posts that you were very proud of your dad and his magic but that could have meant simply that you were just a loving daughter. I thought that was quite nice of you but my interest ended there.

Oh.. but how I am humbled at watching a master showman work his craft. How lucky you are to have these moments captured on film as we are lucky that you chose to share them with us.

The next time I hear someone bragging about " some performer I never heard of " I'll make more of an effort to learn more about that person.

Kudos to you both.

Best,

Tim

Tim, I understand where you are coming from.
I suppose I'd feel the same way, to a point.

I compliment you for giving my posts a second chance,
as well, for the compliment.

I also want to say, that I am not someone who would
"toot" my horn unless there's a plentyful amount of
people here who realized my magic background.

I'm not very comfortable when it comes to things I know
little about. Yes, I know magic, but enough to conjur
up with you conjurers. I do know Show Business and most
Magic Business. But I'm really all about Music Business.

For a long time, I posted on certain threads due
to partial knowledge and experience because of my
parents. I also didn't want anyone to know who I
was or "belonged" too because I didn't know how
to react to specific things and such.

Now that has long past, and I'm here to
keep the communication open for those who know
my parents. For it may be a long time and not so
long time until they see each other again.

Sharing these things, and the joy I get from everyone's
response and then passing it along to my mom and dad
has been wonderful.

I really have no place at this forum. As I am only
a musician.

However, I like to keep my magic friends close by.

In case I ever need to disappear for a while.

Hi Marshall,

You have as much place in this forum as the rest of us..... and maybe more than some of us... LOL.

Thanks for understanding my post. I was really leary of the wording it as I was concerned it might be seen as negative when in fact I meant it in positive light. The truth is that I have become so weary over recent years of hearing from parents who tell me... " My Johnny is SO GOOD, he could be he next Copperfield!!!!"

I get calls from parents all the time who ask me how they can get their Johnny on a cruise ship or how they can arrange big shows for Johnny. Later when I talk to Johnny I find out he does 3 card tricks ( and that's it ) and doesn't have the foggiest clue about magic... but his mother is impressed with those card tricks I tell you. LOL This makes me a bit over skeptical I guess.

Back to your original comment..... If you hadn't decided to become a Café Member ... how would we ever have gotten to see those great videos???? Glad you did decide to join us.

Best,

Tim
