Her character and movements are right out of movies such as the Ring / Grudge. frightening and memorable,

I enjoy her style and the mood it sets for each performance. Creative twists to what she offers.

I enjoyed her initial performance, it was more in character.

Fascinating and creative method of presentation. I think her speaking at the end of the first routine kind of dampened the spookiness, but I see no immediate way around it.

That is cool that she stayed in character, but the zombie illusion was horribly obvious. A bit like a zombie clown car. Nice take on the ashes trick though. It always amazes me how fresh some of the old classics feel.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

All of her acts on Asia’s Got Talent were a repeat from her appearance on The Next Mentalist four years ago, but with subtle improvements to each. The biggest difference however was the terrified reactions of Judge Anggun in Asia’s Got Talent, who inadvertently deserves a lot of credit too for Riana’s success. Watching Anggun’s terrified reactions added hightened drama to the act that might not have been there without her on the panel. I applause Riana for braking out of the typical magiciam act and crafting her own unique character inspired by J horror.

I liked her act too. She created a type of character that I've only seen in movies before.

The first four appearances, which are posted above, are in this composite video. All that's missing is the video where the winner is announced.

TERRIFYING TALENT! Freaky Magician GIRL ...... Talent!
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

*** brilliant stuff! I agree with Intrepid's assessment concerning the judge's reaction. A response like that is a sure reputation-maker.

I don't really think speaking at the end hurt her, but I wouldn't say it helped her either. It... Humanized her character a bit, if that makes sense? I suppose it could be said that it detracted from the onryō character she seemed to portray. Talking took her out of the fiction-suit and made her less mythic, which robbed her of some of her terror.

I'm not entirely sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing on a television appearance, but I've never done a TV appearance.

She has an incredible sense of theatricality! Regardless of the character she chooses, I'm sure that she will go far.

Is it just me or have some of you been married to this girl also? I thought everyone called her 'owl' because she wore large glasses until she turned her head around one night.

When she gets that look just remember the magic words “yes dear, yes dear”

Some people my not realize that she is a character created by Deddy Corbuzier, and three other people.

For sure, her ability to pull off the character is wonderful, but like a lot of good, large-scaled magic acts, she has a production team behind her.

So did David Copperfield.

Ah, Deddy, the Indonesian Max Maven "clone."

(Although it appears that he's finally performing as himself.)

Sorry to derail the thread for a moment. Carry on.
