I just got my hands on a Harakhan vanishing cane and I would like to know how to keep it in good condition. I have heard something about car wax but I'm not sure. Do I need to apply anything special to it? Thanks for the help.

I've always used walsh canes. 3-in-1 houshold oil works great for mine.

Harakhan Canes, I am told have a special coating that does not require anything but to keep them clean. Just wipe with a cloth and keep in a container. They will last a life time.

Bill is correct. It is an anodized stainless steel. Walsh canes very simply blued spring steel. They were subject to rusting and needed to be lightly oiled from time to time.
