I have been looking for a good instructional DVD on the art of card sharping and would greatly appreciate all insights anyone has to offer. Specifically, I'm looking for a solid explanation/demonstration of things such as second and bottom dealing, different false cuts and shuffles, etc. I am not looking for a compilation of routines or tricks; rather a serious examination of the art of card sharping itself.
Thank you! |

Ask Doc. He is here on the Café. As a a matter of fact look at the thread "False Deals" on the "Pick a Card" forum. Another guy you might want to look at is Ian Kendell. He is also on the "Pick a Card" forum under "False Deals"
Magic is a vanishing art.

Check the Gambler Book Club/Shop in Las Vegas.

If you want the most detailed videos on card sharps and gambling cheating techniques, get Steve Forte's Gambling Protection Series tapes. But I must warn you. They're not teaching tapes. Steve just demonstrates the moves. The videos are meant for you to witness the techniques used to cheat in games. In other words, protect yourself from the card sharks.

You might also consider
Richard Turners's The Cheat which has recently been re-released on a DVD. 2 DVDs for the price of 1 Darwin Ortiz's On Card Cheating is also a good source. However, they are not instructional stuff. Only reveals to you the method in slow motion. cheerios
