Anyone know of an effect with a small wooden cube, just smaller than a diebox cube, that had four holes drilled thu it, one on each side, and a pencil was pushed thru
it and came out at a 90 degree angle? Saw it only once when a old magic collector told me about his childhood favorites. Apparently the patter goes something like "this cube is made from exotic woods from some jungle, able to create strange effects and dimensions for objects to pass thru" Simple trick, effective visual, and have never seen in any old catalogs. Any comments?

Update:
Originally sold in 1938 from an inventor in Georgia, advertised only that year in magic publications in the States. Titled: "Proof-4th Dimensional Pencil. Sold for $1. Apparently original instructions for trick available from AskAlexander.com. Only problem, you got to pay to access the archives.
