I have come up with a trick, but I need a blank Svengali deck? Or a way to make one using blank cards using the same principle? Any sources? Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks in Advance, Felixjr |

If you know how to make a Svengali deck, all you need to do is buy a normal deck and a blank deck. Then it will be easy.

Do you know Mental Photography Deck or Blank Deck? Maybe Haines still manufactures these. The effect is a normal deck changes to all blank deck.
It is possible you can use this deck for your effect. Hideo Kato |

The Mental Photography deck is still being made. The effect is a blank deck turns into a normal deck and then back to blank, for a great handling Bill Malone has one on his dvds.
If you want to reveal the same card as in the Svengali Deck, then you would need 26 blank face cards and 26 of the same card with blank backs. Magico |

They sell blank decks at Walmart for less than 5 bucks.

Thanks Guys,
Does Mental Photography use Rough and Smooth cards or am I thinking of the Invisible deck? I have a Mental Photography deck and will try adding the other blank cards to it. Thanks again, Felixjr |

One note about Bill Malone's routine with the Mental Photography deck. It is actually Michael Skinner's routine with a few embellishments from Bill. It IS a wonderful routine and can be found in Classic Sampler, under the title, The Mental Photography Deck, page 31. Michael's patter theme with this effect is outstanding. I sure wish he was still around!

They sell blank decks in Bicycle Poker size cards, search the web for them.
I am looking for long and short blank cards because I doubt I can cut the short cards accurately. If anyone knows of this kind of deck, I will gladly make you a deck of my trick, if it works, free of charge. Felixjr |

They're probably not something you would want to use in a professional performance as they are right out of a children's magic set. The box even says "Magic Cards" or something to that effect. They are fun to play with though, especially for the price. Caleb

I have a box of Fox Lake cards, consisting of 26 rough/smooth pairs. Each pair consists of Red back outside/blank inside and a real (and different) card inside/blank outside. They are not Svengalis. What is the use of this deck?

I believe Haines will make any kind of deck for you. Don't know what they charge. Give them a call.

You should be able to trim the end of the cards with a paper cutter or scissors and then round off the corners with a corner rounder ($5 at Staples) or a rounded nail clipper. I have made a similar sounding deck where you can show "all" of the faces as blank and then have the spectator cut to a specific card.
