I was a student at the C.I. Sideshow School a few years ago under Professor Todd and let me say that he is a master professor. He's both patient and sincere, and by the end of the last class, thanks to him, I successfully learned all of the acts he taught. Of course, it took the better part of a year to write material for the acts before performing in public. This was something that Todd had stressed, the importance of a good, well written routine.
I'm happy to say that since my first public perfomance at an art gallery in Red Hook, showing sideshow banners from the Coney Banner Painting School(thanks to another Coney legend Marie Roberts), I've performed at Coney, hosted burlesque shows, performed at many private parties, and have been on TV twice. Thanks Todd! Adam |

I second the recomendation of Addy. I had the pleasure of spending some time studying with Todd. I learned more than I expected and have used some of the routines in my act.

Thanks guys. You make me proud. Another student, Tommy Breen, just joined up with Ward Hall for a tour on the World of Wonder show. I am proud of your successes.

Unfortunately being on the West Coast, I have not had the pleasure to take part in Mr. Robbins' Classes, however I was able to pursuade a Friend of mine two years ago to do so! She lives in New York, but works out here in California during the Summer. She made mention of her interest in learning Sword Swallowing and I told her about Mr. Robbins' School. She jumped at the chance, and has since turned out to be an ACE Student!

You are probably referring to Nancy. She's great.
We do the school twice a year. The next session will be in November. We will have two sets of classes covering the same material.  We will do a once a week session that will be from 6 to 10pm every Wednesday evening for six weeks. The other session will run five days, during the day. The time will probably be 12 noon to 4pm. This week long session is geared towards people that are coming from out of town and can't spend six weeks in NY. All classes will be in Coney Island at the sideshow. In the course you will learn Fire Eating, Snake Charming, The Human Blockhead, Sword Swallowing, the Bed of Nails, the Electric Chair Act, the Blade Box, how to stick your hand into an animal trap, the Strait Jacket escape, basic whip cracking, the art of the Outside Talker and much more. Please call Dick Zigun at 718-372-5159 to register. If you have any other questions, just let me know. |

Yup!
That's my buddy, Nancy all right! I can still remember when I first was trying to get her to take your class, and she was kind of hesitant. I kept telling her that she would love it, and sure enough...SHE DID! Any chance you might do a Traveling version of your School out here on the West Coast, Mr. Robbins? =Frank=
