Gemini Ring (Brass) by Chuck Leach
I recently bought this and find it fun to do. Chuck Leach marketed this effect a few years ago (around year 2000 I think). At that time the ring used was made in plastic and was in black color. The weight of the plastic ring made me stay away from this effect. With the new brass ring, the weight can actually help in some of the moves. The ring can also be used for all Jardine Ellis Ring effects and more. The set comes with a booklet, ring and a rope. Routines in the booklet are short but they can be used as an effect by itself or mixed and match into a longer routine. The booklet has nice instructions and photos. However, the booklet provided is the same booklet used when the plastic version first came out. The ring used in the photos is plastic version. But this will not affect the learning process. The ring is well made and can be used in most of the standard moves in your normal ring and string routines (e.g Clifton ring move etc). With a little bit of creativity, you can also come out with some routines besides the ring and string moves. The only thing I don't like (which is very minor) about this is the rope. The rope provided is red in color. Both ends of the rope are tied into a knot. The ends will fray in the long run. What I did was untie the knot and tuck the ends into the rope. This one retails at US$20 plus shipping. Overall I like this effect. Recommended.

I just found this review. I decided to order this, after I have gotten the plastic one. I wasn't to fond of the plastic, although I loved the idea.
So I am hoping that I like this one better. John |

The ring is probably about 1" in diameter. Most dealers will carry it.
