Just recieved this CD and was I ever disappointed. The material in PDF format is very poor offerings. The manuscipt tells you things like 'make the quarter or mouse jump out of a glass', but nowhere is there any instruction on how to do this. It does not even explain the basic handling of making the mouse travel across the fingers.
The pitch is okay, nothing earth shattering. It will give you some place to begin if you do not have a clue as to what to say. At the end of page 3 it tells you several ideas of places that you can perform a pitch. The page ends with "vari" and the next page starts a new topic. I believe it was suggesting variety stores, but who know. And I must wonder if there was a page missing with additional suggestions. I originally received a Wonder Mouse from a TV pitch in the 1950's. A potato chip company put them in the package to as a promo. My parents were kind enough to get one for me and I must say, the current mouse form D. Robbins is a poor substitute. Of course they are not made in India, but they cannot even copy the thing correctly. The mouse is okay, it has the rubberband tail, but in gray or black color which is different then the original that came with a plain brown rubberband tail. The wax is far to soft for to be of any good. I melts just from taking it from the card and it is black. The thread is not a thread but a heavy/thick nylon fishing type of line. It would not be any good for the presentation. The original came with nylon from a ladies stocking at least and it was very thin. Instrucions do suggest a ladies nylon stocking thread, but why couldn't they supply the proper thread with the mouse. I feel that customers would scream rip off from this after opening the package. I cannot recommend this CD as a good information package or the mice from D. Robbins Company which may be the only supplier of this item. It would not be worth making up threads and repackaging. Then to find a better wax is another challenge. |
