Hi gang
I have been asked by an agent to team up with the fire dept for one week, doing two shows with fire safety as the theme. I have the Safety Magic for Children book but, not much on fire safety. Am thinking of producing a home fire alarm from a dove pan

Good idea Magiker. Smoke alarms are singularly the greatest savers of lives and cost little to buy and this message will hit parents through their kids. How will you activate the alarm? We could do with a little fire safety magic here in Britain as the first fire fighter's strike for 25 years is upon us and the Army's fleet of appliances takes over. The fourth largest military/economic power on earth will be relying on 1950s/60s equipment to fight fires - chilling!

Hi aceparties.
I will have to press the test button and hold it in just after taking off the lid. I have been looking for some sort of electronic switch over here but there are no outlets like in England (I´m english by the way). Rick

Hi,
I have something (which I admit I have never used)called tipsy candle, it is like a candle on a timmer that falls when you are not looking and burns an envolope or bag containing something valuable. I am sure that a routine could be found here, involving a smoke alarm ringing to warn me once the candle falls. Just a thought Phillip |
