Mr. Burger,
You have mentioned in several posts that you are working on some false shuffles. Are these in print? Would you care to share the reference for a few of your favorites? Thank you. |

I use a Riffle False Shuffle from Arthur Buckley's Card Control.
My favorite, as I have mentioned, is the Optical False Shuffle taught to Jeff McBride and me by John Thompson (who said that lots of people did it in Chicago in the 1950s). You can find it in Card College. This is particularly good because it does not require a table. And, of course, I practice the Zarrow Shuffle all the time. |

Just curious; what are your sources for learning the Zarrow? Do you do the classic, multi-card or the more common top-card version?
Your EFFECT is only as good as its AFFECT.

Spence: I use the multi-card cover although John Thompson keeps trying to convince me that the single card cover (with a slight buckle) is better. I learned it, interestingly, from asking magicians during my travels in the 1980s to teach it to me. Many did and, with lots of practice, I finally learned it too. It certainly was a major advance in false shuffles when it appeared.
