Tony, you made an error ... you were never a potential customer of Lassen's, and you were never going to get him to sell you anything.
Nothing you could have done differently would have changed that. You're all about "me-me-me", and your expectations of an immediate response from Todd just because you're "you" just don't jive with how he runs his business. You seem to feel you have a "right" to buy from him, and that somehow you're deserving of moving in front of the hundreds of other customers who are patiently waiting for Lassen to do his thing. Having said that, I've never had difficulty purchasing from Todd. He's easy to get a hold of, and even easier to talk to - in fact, I've rarely met anybody as friendly and casual as Lassen. No Tony, you'll never have any Lassen coins (unless you manage to buy them second hand), simply because Todd will never sell you any Lassen coins. Schoolcraft will always be around to pick up the flotsam and jetsam, so you'll be fine after all. |

@Silverking: Everything in your post is right on. Seriously deadnutz on!
The only exception maybe for the last part... "Schoolcraft will always be around to pick up the flotsam and jetsam"... Schoolcarft has made good gaffs. I know because own some. So has Swadling and Keuppers and....... many others you may or may not have never even heard of Silverking... Dude... Lassen said he's retiring?! (twice now) Wouldn't you rather NOT p!ss off the remaining guys that still make coin gaffs? Yes you may be able to go to Keuppers or Swadling after Mr. Lassen retires... but still... why throw caution to the wind? If you catch one of these guys on a good day your in for a serious treat. Some more than others. A mind F at the least. Bad day? Well... you may well get ignored. Thing is why test it? There's a guy out there that proved a STICKER ON A COIN CAN PASS AS ANOTHER COIN. A f'n STICKER!? really? REALLY? That's just f'n seriously WONG!!?! (genius bastahd... jealous that I dint think of it) I have Schoolcarft gaffs. I like them. A lot. And Jamie is a really nice guy... but I bet even HE has a list. Don't fool yourself... They ALL do. Be nice to these guys. Always. When they put their heart and soul into their work they produce nothing short of amazing items. When they stop caring... ya'll will know and can tell. I consider myself LUCKY as !@#$ if they RESPOND about an inquiry regarding anything let alone a magic prop. |

I've always had good interactions with Todd. Nice guy to talk to and honest about delivery times. Well worth the wait if there is one. As for
him refusing to sell to certain people, that's not so unusual for people with a good customer base. I thought a while ago I read that Jim Riser did the same. |
