I was just wandering if anyone has heard of the Ressurection Eggs? if you have do you know a good routine and patter? I was in a Family Christian store the other day and I came upon the eggs. I remember some years ago someone did a good magic routine with the eggs. I did purchase the eggs. If you can give me any advice on how to do a presentation using magic it would be greatly appreciated.

You might be able to produce them in some manner.

But having said that, the "Eggs" stand on their own. I'm not sure you need to turn them into a magic effect.

The Resurrection Eggs are a product marketed in Christian book stores for Easter time. It is a carton of 12 plastic eggs, and each of the eggs contains an item in it that has a special meaning for Easter. The basics of them is that you have kids come up and open the eggs one at a time and tell everyone what is in their egg, and then you can talk about the spiritual applications of each item as it is revealed. Or, you can open one or two eggs each week during lent, finally ending up with the last egg on Easter Sunday and tell the special message about Easter. Magically speaking, maybe you could come up with a way to 'predict' the contents of each egg before they're opened somehow?

You may consider an egg bag routine with one of them.

Terry is right about the eggs "standing" on their own. My wife and I have used them in our Sunday School Class, but we just presented them as they are. I didn't feel I needed to add anything magical to it. However, I'm sure it would be fine to add some magic to the recipe. As Arty, suggested the Egg Bag seems like a logical choice.

Again thank you for all of your input. I still want to come up with a way to magically produce them. I might just force one egg, and then I will go into each eggs story saving the Ressurection Egg for the last.

I thought eggs only stood on their own during the Vernal Equinox Smile

If you need some great ideas for tricks with resurrection or any other type of egg you should look into the Encyclopedia of Egg Tricks from the Hermetic Press

You need to take my remark with a few grains of salt (if you know what I mean)!

Perhaps they could be "produced" via a dove pan?
Also David Ginn outlines a routine called "Easter Egg Count" in his Live KidBiz 2 book. The routine is based on counting/math and involves taking eggs from one bag and putting them in another.

Good idea. A dove could be produced from an egg also.
