Obviously your style and illusions are unique, but I was wondering which other magicians (if any!) you find influential or just enjoy watching perform?

Oh Jeez, that may take a while. But here is a list of a bunch that have inspired me.
Doug Henning, Larry Wilson, Ricky Jay, David Copperfield, Amazing Johnathan, John Carney, Rich Marrota, Fielding West, Paul Kozzack, Mack King, Tom Frank, Lennert Green, Mike Caveny, Theo Dari(the lazerman), Kevin James, Rudy Coby, The Banana Man, Mike Micheals, The Great Thomsoni, Jim Lewis, Steve Fearson, Bodine Balasco, Brian Gillis, John Kennedy, Steve Sheriton, Jerry Andrus and David Roth. Comdians Steve Martin, George Carlin, Ritchard Pryor, Eddy Murphy, Peter Gaulky, Robin Williams, Tracy Ulman, Jim Carey, Howie Mandel and of course the silent comedians like, Chaplin, Keaton, Harrold Loyd, Fatty Arbuckel, and George Carl. Artist like. R. Crumb, Watterson(calvin and Hobbs), Garry Larson, Picasso, Salvator Dali, Broigul and Guiseppi Archiembolo. Monty Python!! and cartoons of every kind! And animators like John Krisfalluci Bob Clampett, Tex avery, Matt Greoning, Chuck Jones and many more. Dan Sylvester |

Hi Sylvester,
I think you are an inspiration to all of us. I first met you as a beginning clown and you made me want to be a part of this unique world. Thank you. You are the best. I just saw you on a tv commercial for a game show. Do you know which week you will be aired. All the best Lickerish the clown |

I don't think I will be on that show. I think they are just using me to sell the show.

I've seen the ad as well. Just a quick flash, but your costume was unmistakable.
The show is called "America's Got Talent". The 2 hour premier will be on NBC, Wednesday June 21, 9/8c. Tell us Dan. How did getting on that show all come about? Are you just being modest or do you think you really were cut? I'll being performing at that time so I want to know if I should set up the VCR. ************************** Never Mind! I read the other post! ************************** |

They are probably going to use some of the scenes from when they stuck me in line. But other then that I am certain that I will not be on the first eppisode and may not be on any other. Its probably not what they are looking for.

As far as what other magicians are on the show...I have no idea. I don't think Ill be on the show...Probably just the comercial. Just like 30 seconds to fame. They used me in the commercial but not my set on the show. The worlds Greatest Magic Show in Vegas uses a video of my act to promote their show to. But Im not on it anymore.
