x-treem...great choice on the Reliant K song. Didnt think I would see someone name that one. We run into the guys from Canton all the time, usually about 6-7 times a year. We have never worked with them specifically, but have been on the same billing.

Nope, can't possibly narrow it any further,
these songs are absolute equals. I sat here
for a couple hours REALLY trying to follow
the rules of your post. I had to listen to
ALL these songs (and more) to make my
decision down to 10. (You know your done when instead of eliminating a song here and there, you remember three more that deserve to be on the list)

L.I. POD is also a great choice, I tend to lean more towards Youth of the Nation (I think that is the name of the song) off the same CD.

On a side note I'll bet there is a Bride song you may not know: Bride and D.O.C. (Body Slam Jam) God Gave Rock and Roll to You.

top 5..., top 5. why do you have to ask this question?!!!

Currently, I would say:

misfits - dig up her bones
naughty by nature - everything's gonna be alright
paul simon - diamonds on the soles of her shoes
Lisa gerrard & pietre bourke - sacrifice
nice and smooth - sometimes I rhyme slow

That is a fairly well rounded list, I guess.

X-treem, yes Youth of The Nation is a good tune...we use it in our Pre-show. Not sure I have heard the Bride tune you speak of...sounds like a remake of the Petra tune.

Yup it is a heavy metal/rap version (of the Petra song) from the earily '90s.

I met Bride in 1997 when I did a few escapes on the open stage at Conerstone.

Cool, We performed at Cornerstone back in 1999. I did a straight jacket escape on Main Stage with The Insisderz. They played their heavy tune, The Hunted. We have also performed at every major Christian Music Festival. This year we are doing several around the country.

Fascinating Kevin! I was a long time fan of Rez Band, Keith Green and Larry Norman. Walked across America in 1980 and lived with the Jesus People for a while before they had the Cornerstone Festival.

How about a classic classic rock Top 5? Although I hate lists and it's impossible to list a real "Top 5" of anything, if my back was against the wall and I was threatened with death (about the only time I'd submit to having to really submit such a list) here's five of the top favorite songs of mine and many others (I say that because these are, literally, five of the most popularly played, performed, requested and purchased songs of all time):

"Let It Be," the Beatles.
"Freebird," Lynyrd Skynyrd.
"Stairway to Heaven," Led Zeppelin.
"Dream On," Aerosmith.
"Hey, Jude," the Beatles.

Now listen to those five songs in a row, and you'll see what I mean.

Hi all

I agree with Matt above when he says 'it's impossible' so the best I can do is try and offer a top ten of my favorite songs today Smile Though they will surely be different tommorow.

Here they are in no particular order (except for the first one which is my favorite song of all time)

1: The Bewley Brothers - David Bowie
2: Thy Unveiling - Insane Clown Posse
3: Come as you are - Nirvana
4: Pretty Vacant - The Sex Pistols
5: Down With The Clown - Insane Clown Posse
6: Piece Of Sky - The Wonderstuff
7: Thats Entertainent - The Jam
8: Hand In Glove - The Smiths
9: Southwest Voodoo - Insane Clown Posse
10: Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams

There is no way I will even agree with this list myself within an hour. I have literally 1000 albums spanning the last 40 years in my collection. So much great music to choose from. Music is one of the most important things in the world to me. It's very existence is almost enough to make me believe in God. Except that everyone knows the Devil writes the best songs. Lucifer, Gods fallen Angel of music Smile

Have Fun

Hey bro SJGuy,

Listen to the albums Shaded Pain by Lifesavers Underground or Silence by Blindside for songs that beat Devil music but does not give the Turn or Burn, worship God or die, style Christian music.

Both are in the style of tunes that are listed by you. I prefer positive music without the "hands in the air, swinging, choir" boredom.

Or if you want to skip anything to do with religion listen to Linkin' Park.

You should be able to get all three at Virgin in London.
