Mike, that sound like some good information going the "other way", however, I think I will still go the "clean way" and just use some tarn-x.

See, I usually do the same thing... hang all that egg and baggie stuff, and just polish the ones that absolutely need to be polished, however, I've found that in some lighting conditions, it's difficult for the spectators to tell the difference between the silver and the copper coins. The coppers shine too much, and reflect the lights as well as the silver coins do. And in bar settings, yellowish and reddish lights are very common, and they make it hard for even me to tell them apart at a glance. That's why I prefer old, tarnished / oxidized coins... there's never any question which is which no matter what lighting situation I'm in.
