I have done several searches on the Magic Café on this topic.
Do most members recommend Krylon 1311 or Krylon 1312 for Roughing Fluid? Dai Bato |

Hi Dai,
My first choice (after a comparison test) would be Testor's, but if you are choosing Krylon (also good, and cheaper) I would suggest 1311. I tried 1312 once (mostly by accident, but it proved a good comparison study) and found it to be too tacky for my personal taste. It would be cheap enough for you to get a can of each and try them side by side. Hopefully others will chime in to assist you in making a more balanced conclusion. Please let us know what you discover, once you make up your mind. |

There are the Testor's Dullcote and Krylon #1311 camps, both are adequate for the intended purpose. Testor's is intended for plastic modeling use and Krylon for paper (art and photographic).
You make the decisionon of which you want to use. I have used both and Krylon more. JMHO Cheers!

I use the Krylon #1311, and it is good...Only because I didn't know there was a #1312.. ..

For what its worth, I have been using Krylon #1311 for the past 10 years and it has yet to fail me.

1311 works wonders. I have a custom effect that I make and I go through loads of it. Works wonderfully and lasts longer under normal wear and tear.
