Hello, my name is Kevin and I am an alcoholic....er wrong forum.
My interest in magic started when I was in the Cub Scouts and received Boy's Life magazine that had magic tricks in them every once and a while. I started getting serious about magic around the age of 10 when I got a magic set from Disneyland. I continued to practice and perform (mainly at school, retirement homes, and the local childrens hospital) When I was a junior or senior in high school I met the widow of a local magician and we got to talking a bit and I ended up buying a lot of his close-up and a few parlor pieces. After high school I joined the Air Force and other things came about so magic fell to the side. Every now and again I would open up the old cases and play with a few of them for a while. Recently (the last year or so) things in my life have settled down enough that I can resume my passion for magic. I have/am started over as a beginner again mainly to learn/improve my card and coin manipulations and move away from the 'gimmick of the week' syndrome I had in high school. Well, that is about all I can think of without writing my biography. So, I say "Hello to the Café." Kevin |

Welcome to the Café Kevin, hic!
It's times like this I wish I'd listened to what my Grandad used to say...

Hi Kevin,
Ahhh once bitten by the magic bug it's with you for life you've discovered. At times it may go dormant for a while only to re-emerge later in life. Glad to have you join us and feel free to join in the conversations as it's a friendly place.Welcome! |

Welcome Kevin,
Like yourself, magic for me has been a life-long passion. I too, because of circumstances, had to let the magic bug lie dormant for many years but as Chrystal observed earlier, it invariably returns later in life, almost always with a greater intensity! You'll find the Café a super place to be. Everyone one here could not be more helpful and friendly. Enjoy! With all good magical wishes. Lester |
