Hello,
This topic is based in the "shadow projection/real" topic by LeeAlex. I have an idea, and I would like to construct a illusion based in this idea: My idea is to have a deceptive base in the center of the stage. A curtain automatically rises and after that my own shadow appears behind the curtain. When it goes down I have "magically appeared". Have you got any tips and/or ideas for such particular illusion? Thanks |

Is the object of the base to serve as something for you to stand on or is just something for you to appear from? Will the audience be able to see the base? I am just wandering more of what you want it to look like to give you a couple of different ideas.

Unfortunately several people are doing just that, some right on the base, others with a Zimmerman raised style (double platform) base.
Unless there is something more in/behind your idea, it is already being performed. Keep brinstorming the idea and something truly original may come to you. After being in magic awhile you tend to become focused on ideas and you need "fresh" thoughts, you may be just the lucky one to have them. Blair Marshall "ShaZzam!"

Thanks a lot for your posts.
In response to Skyillusions, yes, I want to come from a deceptive base. Blair Marshall, could you please tell me more about the Zimmerman raised style base? Thanks a lot! |

@ Joao: You have a base and over it there is a second level you appear on.
