Friends,
I received an e-mail from Bill Palmer today Informing me that Roger Klause, one of the living masters of our art Is seriously Ill with Cancer and apparantly suffered a stroke yesterday as well, (the stroke info was not supplied by Bill but has been verified by a reliable source) so please send some positive thoughts his way and let's pray things take a turn for the better. |

Wow! I talked to him this year at WMS and he was in top form, that stuff hits fast sometimes. Hoping the best for him.

Rumor control:
Roger is, indeed, seriously ill and is receiving treatments for cancer. He has not, however, suffered from a stroke. Last Thursday, his blood pressure dropped to a dangerously low level, and he was admitted to the hospital, where they worked for two days to bring it back to normal levels. The doctors believe it was brought about by dehydration. This weekend, Roger was actually stronger than he has been for a while, and he continues his fight. Roger and Wanda appreciate everyone's kind thoughts and concern. |

I saw Roger at this years 4-f. He looked a little thin and I asked how he was feeling. He said he felt Ok. Wow! He was ALWAYS there for me, whether for emotional support, a word of encouragement or most of all, a good laugh! He is one of the BEST magicians in the business and I am a better person knowing him!
My prayers are with Roger and his (excellent) family at this time. |

I spoke to Roger this afternoon. He is getting stronger and fighting this, but he is quite seriously ill. I wish Roger and Wanda all the strength in the world throughout this.

Roger asked me to pass on his thanks for all the concern and good thoughts. He's received numerous telephone calls, e-mails, cards, letters and even personal visits, and he's warmly comforted by all of them. Both he and Wanda are deeply touched by all of you.
Cheers, Lance |

Maybe this should be posted in the "Looking Out for Our Own" forum also...
