Howdy.
Could anybody please recommend any good DVDs or Books that will help me prepare myself for table hopping etc. I currently own Paul Wilsons `The Restaurant Act`, which i am just learning from. Many thanks one and all. Paul Knight. |

Standig up Surrounded by Kirk Charles, Hermetic Press 1989, is essential reading. To quote Billy McComb:
"In the pages of STANDING UP SURROUNDED you'll learn precisely what to do and, more importantly, what not to do. I have read it and heartily recommend it to you -- because Kirk Charles has done it, makes a good living from it, and knows what he is writing about." |

"The Restaurant Worker's Handbook" by Jim Pace and Jerry Macgregor. If you're ready to work restaurants, this book is worth its weight in gold, more for the advice in how to get work and keep working than for the routines. Very compact, all you need to know.

Don't forget Real World Magic by Jerry MacGregor. It tells you the real secrets of making a career in magic. And there are plenty of tricks in there as well.

Would really recommend Kirk Charles' Complete Guide to Restaurant and Walk Around Magic. It's his Restaurant and Standing up Surrounded books combined & updated. Excellent stuff.
