I have heard of elementary school assembly shows for which the main idea is to combine magic and math in a way that makes math enjoyable (and not scary!). I wonder what sort of effects performers use in these shows. Any thoughts?

There have actually been some books related to this subject:
Mathematics, Magic & Mystery by Martin Gardner is a Dover publication you can get at your local book store. A slew of math-magic oriented books can be found on Amazon by putting in: Math Magic It also seems to me that someone IN magic put out a book that dealt with things like this: Math, Science via magic assemblies. Best,

Harry Lorayne has a mathematics book out as well. The title escapes me at this moment, but it is very good for impromptu situations as well.

Thanks for posting the title of your terrific book, Harry. I suppose if I studied some of your work on memory, I wouldn't have forgotten it in the first place.
Cheers, Ogre |
