I just got David Regal's effect where a
spectator cuts to the 4 aces. Has anyone worked this into a routine?

If you like deep guilt aces then you'll love David Eldridge's guilty as sin aces.. You can purchase it on BRad Burt's magic shop (www.magicshop.com)

Thanx for the kind words. I came up with Guilty As Sin Aces, because while the Regal effect is great, I found it only works about 85% of the time. Also, if the spectator misses the cut, there is no way to save the effect. In my routine, you never miss, neatness doesn't count, and it is self-working.

On the subject of Cutting the Aces, mention should be given to Mark Jenest's "Casino Deck". It predates the effect Angelo Carbone and I came up with independantly, and even though one can't do the exact same ace-cutting as in "Deep Guilt", in some ways the trick is more commercial. It is still around, I think. Very reasonably priced and a killer gaffed deck.
As far as doing "Deep Guilt Aces" sure fire, if the work is properly in the deck (three people mailed me a year or two ago to say the work was too subtle in the decks they had - Murphy's manufactured a whole bunch, and I guess some weren't as pronounced as they should be. Murphy's made good.) the rest is in presentation and management. If anybody's having a hard time developing a way to "ensure compliance", PM me here and I'll tell you what I do. I do this trick a lot, and I leave nothing to chance! David Eldridge - I'm very happy that Deep Guilt Aces has driven you to come up with your own effect. Best of luck with it. Oh...and what's the Hypno Paddle? I MUST KNOW. |

Just got Devlin's GASA from lybrary.com. Glad I got it but it seems the setup in the description is different than the final list. I won't say more than that. The pdf should be revised to remove that discrepancy!

Here is my Deep Guilt Aces version.
The difference to the original from David Regal is, I can show the complete Deck of cards, every single card and I have nothing to hide. This is not possible in the Deep Guilt Aces original version. Here is the video (in german language) with my version: https://vimeo.com/115183497 Darko |
