If I order a Wild Card set, can I assume that I'll get two cards that give good contrast, for instance a red face card and a black low card?

Well...we all know what happens when we "assume". Contact the dealer you are thinking of ordering from and ask. Most will work with you.

Do you know a dealer that has a website with a good search function?
MJM's is not very good.

Use the "Search" function and stuff comes up in alphabetical order. Type in "Wild Card" and it will be the last item listed. Contact Denny about the combinations you seek.

Many dealers sell Wild Card, another here, Marty Grams of Martinis Magic. As Stanyon said, explain to the dealer what you want, you should get it. There are of course, different handlings for the effect out there.

While MJM's search engine isn't the best, their customer service is pretty good. If you write them e-mail, they will get back to you with an answer, and usually a link on their website. That is what has worked for me.

The few shops I asked for a set had only non-Bicycle backs for some reason...

Did you ask the dealers mentioned above? I know for a fact the ones from Martinis Magic Co are Bicycles.
