This is a great place for that video.
I believe that's Simon Aronson's Shuffle Board (bored?). It's just a very unique presentation. I like the use of fr****n.

Very nice presentation. Interesting as a story and the props are great. But...at over 9 minutes just for part 1 I question how effective it would be for a real audience. At the end of this video there has not been a single bit of magic performed. I am not a huge proponent of having an effect every few seconds, but if you are performing a magic trick I think it wise to get some kind of effect in there during the first few minutes. If you assume 5 more minutes for the trick to be completed in part 2 that's 14 minutes total. I don't know the rules about video length on You-Tube, but I assume he cut the video close to the middle, so that 5 minutes may be a very conservative estimate. The performers in the close-up room at the Magic Castle only get 20 minutes. Has Copperfield - hell, has Eugen Burger - ever spent 14 minutes on a single trick? I think that you would really need to choose your audience carefully for this presentation. If it were a group of friends/relatives it would go over great. If it were a group of strangers, I think it would be a hard sell. That's if you were performing it as magic of course. If you were telling a story at a story telling get together it might play better.

As always, just an opinion. I could be wrong.

I agree that it's awfully long, and frankly I got bored. Sorry. When it was not immediately apparent how to get to the 2nd part, I just left.

I suppose that lengthy presentations might be fine for parties or something, but I'm hard pressed to figure out where you would do this in the real world today.

Still, the premise could be interesting and the presentation could be cut down to the vitals.

I was bored after 1 minute.

It was actually submitted for a contest. I think that if this was done on stage with a camera and projected onto a screen and also with audience participation this would work because the story is very intriguing. I just think that it needs to be cut down, if that was done then it would be a lot better, also the audio could have been better. But I still liked it.
