It is already sitting in our office along with the Classic Collection Volume 1, but my wife will not let me read them till my birthday. The wait is killing me! I'm looking forward to seeing the progressive ace routine in Ken's book even though I already have my own approach which I like and am comfortable with. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I love this effect! John |

I may just do that next time. It may not be until my next birthday before I have the chance to order again. Do you have a list of the books you have available which you could PM me?

Oops - this was supposed to be a PM. Sorry. I'm a lousy computer person! I think I'm also not allowed to include my email address - sorry for that, too - it's always automatically at bottom of my posts. Anyway... HL.

Having just read through the thread I'm surprised no one mentioned Bob King's marketed "Big Mac" version, it was excellent, though now unavailable. Not only did the aces progress across the four piles, after being shown assembled at the conclusion they then changed into a Royal Flush. Certainly the best version I recall seeing performed.
Mark Mason also marketed a gaffed version called "Tension" (I think) which used tens instead of aces. Peter Kane's version "The Gossips" using queens can be found in the book "Kane". Al Smith had a simple version with jokers in print before Phil Goldstein, possibly in his second published booklet. John Bannon's "Twilight Zone Assembly" was mentioned but if memory serves this was not the 'progressive' plot' even though a very commercial routine. Paul. |
