I am on the fence on whether or not to purchase this shirt. It looks as if though it may be ok, but I would love to know if any of you have this or have heard of it. It is on his site, ellusionist.com, and he only has L avail... any help is greatly appreciated.

What is it all about????
Just save your money or invest on a better effect. There is nothing special with this, IMO. Just a shirt with a prediction. If the card appeared visually on the shirt, now that would have been a pretty effect. Think before you leap. Do not get carried away by the hype. Ivan.

Your money would be better spent on other prediction effects which are stronger, like 'Invisible Prediction' - which doesn't use a shirt, but lets the spectator keep the prediction paper.
Effect is basic: A BLANK plain paper is shown, spect examines it - signs it and it is kept under the box. Card is picked, and prediction paper turned over, and a prediction has appeared! http://www.magicmarket.co.uk/invisibleprediction.htm Sounds really good, it's on my 'to buy' list. I would much rather this than a shirt. All the best, Logan

Don't be fooled in your attempt to fool people with this trick shirt, because it simply isn't a trick! You're better off saving your money by just doing ashes on the arm or something of the sort, and it is even more powerful..

Well it's a cool shirt. If you're going to go out and do magic (and I usually spend 20 bucks on a shirt anyway), you may as well get it instead of the normal shirt you would get.

Go ahead and get one... but how stupid are you going to look walking around with an Ellusionist shirt? First of all, people will know where to "learn" your effects if you use anything from Ellusionist, and second, I don't think it looks professional at all. But if that's the look you want...

Make one.
Buy a 4 dollar black shirt. And some iron on print paper. You can make doubles of the shirt and never have to use the same card over (within reason). This is a good effect in theory, but you would need to have more than one card or else people would figure it out.
It's like that? I guess it's like that! OH YEAH!!! YEAH!! - wait, what are we talking about?

I remember years ago there were shirts that changed color by heat. You could lay your hand on it and the heat from your hand would change the color of the shirt where you touched it. Now if you had a card you couldn't see...and you had a spectator put THEIR hand on your short and their card appeared and then slowly faded away...well THAT might be cool. But just pulling out your shirt? You could just as easily pull out your wallet and show a different colored card of the same value and that's STILL a weak trick.

Yeah, don't listen to Ellusionist about what they say is a "good" effect.

I wouldn't give Ellusionist a dime of my money. They already make enough conning beginners into buying their worthless products.

They are not conning people. Why would you say that?

i agree, Ellusionist isn't conning people, you do get what they offer...
I think he is just refering to the fact that Ellusionist sells other people's effects and renames them without giving credit or asking for permission, and the fact that they cater to blaine-wannabe's and go with a "hip" style to attract younger beginner magicians who don't know any better. but their videos ARE educational and do provide a good stepping stone towards more advanced and "serious" magic text / videos. |

Sorry to be the Michael Moore of these boards folks, but I had to say it.

The topic of Ellusionist has been discussed on MANY forums, not just here - it is EXTREMELY cotroversial because on one hand, Brad is truly teaching good stuff! But on the other hand, he is giving away effects which took years of thought to develop and takes all the credit.
I try not to have an opinion about Ellusionist and Brad - but I can tell you that this shirt is NOT worth it... But I think you know that already All the best, Logan

I spend a lot of time defending Brad and Ellusionist, but even to me this effect is just stupid. Sorry Brad.

It's a shirt. That's it!

I looked back at Ellusionist a couple of days ago and couldn't believe some of the prices! 17 dollars to learn the 2-card monte! Most websites teach you that trick for free! I'm glad I haven't bought anything from them as it seems like a scam.
