Who makes the best palm fire gimmick? The Fickle Fire type.

I was told Kikuchi makes a very good one. Omega fire is one I've tried before but it gets hot, FAST!

I've got one of the original Kikuchi sets and they get hot too. Metal pretty much gets hot no matter what. You can try putting a small piece of cork board on the bottom of the pan to deflect some of the heat.

Rick hasslet does ones which are electronic. if you don't mind to rely on electronics you can try them. Kikuchi's are good. But I'd advice el duco's...

If you find some small pieces of ceramic tile, these can be glued on the backs of just about an fire from hands gimmick and prevent the heat buildup you feel in your hands.
I think omega fire is about the best, but I do wish the fire was bigger. I've recently seen a set from creative magic that look like they have HUGE flames, much bigger than any other set I've seen. Those are on my wishlist. Also on my wishlist... Rick Haslett http://www.ahouseoffire.com also sells a set with surefire electronic ignition. I really hate that sometimes omega fire and others just dosn't work on the first strike. those are on my wishlist. Steven |
