That's interesting.
But Deb is dead and I don't see how they can bring her back. Though, Dexter is still very much alive and well in a logging camp somewhere and the closing moment tells us he's not done with his work. That's why he abanddoned his son and his lover. I hope they do a good job of it if they bring him back, but I don't have good vibes about it.

Well, his whiney sister want be in it. Kinda' down beat finale, but not as sad as when Alf was turned over to the Air Force to be tortured and vivisected.

I thought the whole last 2 seasons were a big disappointment and the finale one of the worst finales in history. What a let down especially when you compare it to the writing, acting, and direction in Breaking Bad.

I was bothered the whole last season as to why Hannah didn't change her appearance. Dexter is top forensics expert, Hannah had been on lam before, and neither of them think to cut her hair? Dye it? And how can Dexter find places to kill and dissect people, but can't find place for Hannah to stay besides Debs house?
Agree that writing was sloppy and overall very unsatisfying ending to a series I otherwise really enjoyed.

I think there was a big writing turn over at the end of the 4th season, which is the point that it really started to go downhill for me. I thought the Lithgow season was really the peak for that show. Btw, what was the point in introducing that Asian guy's long lost daughter? I kept waiting for them to do something with it, but they never did. There were so many holes, and ridiculous plot points. I think the worst one was when the fired detective was going to expose Dexter and Dexter killed him in his van and left him there. No body seemed to care that this detective had been killed who just a few minutes before said he was going to expose Dexter.

Otherwise we didn’t want to call more attention to it."

I thought the finale was pretty forgettable myself. It amazes me that they couldn't have come up with anything better, especially considering how strong the show was at one time.

I guess I'm the only one here who didn't have a problem with the finale. It leaves room for something later, but like I said earlier, I don't feel real good about it. I'll admit there were a lot of holes in the last few years as mentioned above and it was particularly bothersome to me that Dexter got sloppier as those seasons progressed.

I have to admit this whole last season was just ho hum. The idea that a federal marshal that is a fugative retreval expert didn't think to just look in the window was pretty stupid. The idea anyone over the age of 12 didn't think of it is pretty much a stretch. The idea of her NOT changing her appearance makes sense IF nobody is actively looking for her. Problem was MANY people were actively looking for her so that point is just they were lazy.
I was Sopranos disapointed I must say. I know we all expect different things but sorry the way he they concluded the Saxon thing was pretty lame writing as well.

I found that guy that Deb was working for to be rather annoying...doing the slightly raspy voice but dressing like Ryan Seacrest...what was that?
I'm sad to see it go, especially considering it was SO good at one time (John Lithgow, anybody?) but it was overdue.

I found the finale so so. But why was it followed with an episode of "Ax Men"? I thought that show ran on a different network.

That one was new circa 2010.
The new, new one is called Dexter's Final Cut.
