Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone's seen the following prop in action (it's a book that you can produce things from, similar it says to the "bowling ball from briefcase"): http://www.taylorsmagicshop.com/category80_1.htm Are there similar effects sold under different names and if anyone has purchased this particular model, what is the quality of the item, is it an awkward way to produce things, and how big can the items be that you are going to produce? Thanks for any help, Brett. |

This looks like a clone of the Book of Merlin made by Siam Magic.
I know several people who have used the Book of Merlin and love it. It is available from Derek Rutt, an advertiser on this forum. Mark

I use Merlin's Book often, putting a "Magic Birthday Recipes" label on it and producing items to put into dove pan to "bake" sponge birthday cake. It's a great prop.

Trick Supply purchased their remaining stock and I just checked and this is not listed on their website. I did an in-depth search and could not find any listing for the Book of Merlin trick. It is still listed on the Siam site, in two versions, the book only for $80.00 and with a table top and additional production items for over $100.00. I could not find any website for Derek Rutt any longer. |

Bill,
Wow, thanks for the in-depth check. I found one on Ebay, but it's from a China seller and I'm concerned about the quality. Maybe I'll try it out and let you know! Thanks again! |
