Is it just me or is Akira a very hard flourish? Its seems to be very hard to get down. any good tips.

Have faith in gravity. Seriously, that last packet should seem to fly into the deck. I would start by learning the Tornado cut. Once you have that down, Akira shouldn't be too much harder.
