Does any body have any tips for getting an SYM assembly started?

I know you can get some stuff from national.
My recommendation is to NOT turn your club into a 501c3. Then surround yourself with those who are good with kids and want to really help them improve in whatever form of magic they like (cards, close-up, platform, etc). I'm dealing now with a 501c3 and some people here painfully driven to focus on one platform of magic. |

Mike, I'd like to hear more about the problems and success you had starting a SYM assembly. I'm considering starting one here in Atlanta.
