Hi
I'm vague on the history of vent...anyone know if there's ever been a little person ventriloquist that worked with an "average" sized dummy? --JD |

There were lots of "average sized" figures, particularly early in the history of vent.
I'm not aware of any little people who were vents, though. There was an Alfred Hitchcock segment from the 1950's where it turned out the figure was a little person (Billy Barty) and the vent was the figure (though Tom Conway played the role until the last moment reveal)...but I can't think of anybody in the real world with an act like that. |
