I know this doesn't belong here but there is a similar post about magic shops on here. I'm heading to Vegas in January for a one day meeting. I'll be their Sunday. Meeting will be Monday and leaving Tuesday. Can anyone recommend a must go to Magic Shop? Not a touristy shop!
Thanks! Mike |

Denny and Lee. It's such a great shop. They have everything and at good prices.
Yes, that is my real name. Yes, I am a real person. No, you probably won't agree with me.

There are a few Houdini magic shops. Just tourist traps, but to watch them demo magic is fun. The one on the second floor of New York New York is cool looking with a 'secret' library where they bring you to teach the floating stuff with IT.
Like I say, just fun to watch them work.

DEFINITELY Denny & Lee!!
Owned and run by a REAL MAGICIAN, not just a salesman.

Ma King is a MUST see in Vegas. Best value and great show. My wife is not a magic fan but I twisted her arm to see his show. She loved it.

Another vote for Denny & Lee! I met Apollo Robbins in there, when I visited. Great guy! The shop is full of awesome books, dvd's, and really cool effects.......I gotta go back!

I was in Vegas two weeks ago and decided to walk to Denny Lee's from my hotel. On the way there, I was about to cross an alley when a car pulled out of it. The person driving flag me to cross. As I cross I looked back at the car and stopped dead in my tracks. MAC KING was driving.
I ran up to the window and asked if he was Mac King and he said ya. I told him that I was a magician from Boston and I was on my way to Denny Lee's. He told me that it was a long walk and that I should hop in. MAC KING gave me a ride to Denny Lee's in his BMW. It was awesome walking into the shop with him. The guy is really laid back and I agree....the best magic show in Vegas. It was an awesome experience. On a side note, Denny Lee's is the only good shop in Vegas. The employees really know their stuff too. |

Absolutely Denny & Lee's.
I visited Vegas from the UK last year and wanted to go there. For some reason, it is incredibly hard to find. Even the SatNav in our car couldn't find the place. It's well off the beaten track, but well worth it when you get there. I also second the opinions on the Houdini shops.. funny but a waste of time. Syd |
