Hey Pete,
If you were asked to do one parlor or stage effect, what would it be? |

ONE?
That's tough. I guess my closer... my Card in Balloon. You can see an abreviated version on my web site http://www.petebiro.com It was cut way down by the TV editors. Credit for the concept goes to Persi Diaconis, who suggested throwing away the prop tray to hold the balloons and just hold them in your hand. I was asked to do it on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, but my photo assignment schedule overlapped and I never did the show. On a big stage? I'd do the Comedy Perverse Linking Rings or the Ken Brooke routine multiplying bottles, with the legs table.

I'd heard about your Card in Balloon but this is the first time I've seen it. Fantastic!!

Thanks a bunch...
I wish the clip wasn't cut short. I haven't used the material, but a friend of mine that wrote for David Letterman, then Jay Leno (when he moved to Califrnia), did a re-write on the gags, bringing some of the refernces up-to-date.
