Hi Aldo,
I had the great pleasure to meet you in Bogota for Flasoma 2007 and loved your routines and presentation. I just wanted to know which trick do you usually perform impromptu for a lay audience when someone ask you show me a trick ! |

The Flasoma in Colombia is always great, my 'hermano' Gustavo knows how to put together a great convention.
If I have cards with me (or if they give me a deck because either I do not have my deck or....they don't trust my cards and they insist for me to do a trick with their deck), I usually perfom the "Mini Oil and Water" routine I mentioned in another email (from my DVD CARD CAPERS), then I could do a version of the famous "Danbury Delusion" (assuming I spell it correctly). I also perform my "Half Binding" from the DVD STANDING ROOM ONLY (it is NOT completely impromptu but it takes a second to prepare and it is a very nice torn and restored borrowed bill (incidentally it can be done with napkin so if you are in a bar you can floor them using a paper napkin). If I have more than three or four people, I can do part (or all) of the routine FIREWORKS. Definitely a people pleaser! |

Great, I'll go for DVD Card Capers soon. I confirm that Fireworks is a great routine, one of the few that fit particularly with large audience and totally impromptu. Definitely recommended !

I love FIREWORKS, it is, at present, my favorite routine. The good part about it, it's that with a little ingenuity you can do the entire routine without the need for a table, using the spectators' hands for example. I wish I have TEN such powerful routines!!!!

I've always read a lot of good things about Fireworks and it is great to read about your enthusiasm for the routine. I was looking at wildcolombini.com and noticed the Razzamataz DVD and it sounded a lot like Fireworks.
Can you compare the two routines and maybe explain how they are different and in what situations one might be better than the other? Thanks for all the great products and value you provide. |

RAZZAMATAZ (don't ask where I come up with these names) is a ten-card revelation, while FIREWORKS is a twelve-card revelation (both routines can be shortned if necessary without losing any impact). Except for the control of the cards (of which I am really proud.....sorry for this), all the productions of the cards are different. Both can be performed entirely in your hand with no table required (RAZZAMATAZ more than FIREWORKS). I have to admit that FIREWORKS is stronger but, for example, one night I had 20 people in front of me and I combined both routines using different productions from both and ending up with the FIREWORKS finale and I got a standing ovation.....for the audience it seems WAY more difficult than it really is. You get credit to be a great manipulator!!

The control taught in Razzamataz is brilliant! Since learning it I have used it for other effects with multiple selections. It seems very fair!

The control is based on an idea by J. K. Hartman and, like you said, can be done for any amount of cards and in my opinion looks very deceptive and it is soooooooooooooo easy!
