I thought you may be interested to know that Living Waters has released a pack of playing cards with celebrity caricatures on them. They also have needgod.com printed on the faces of the cards.
http://www.livingwaters.com/index.php?pa......9001;=en These may work well with signed card tricks in which the spectator takes home a card as a souvenir.

Those look cool, but don't have anything scripture on them like these do, http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/SpecialOccasionGifts/items/Suit_Of_Armor_NIV_Scripture_Playing_Cards.
I have been using Suit Of Armor cards for a long while now. I have all three versions. I love using them when evangelizing. I will occasionally let the person keep the card.

Paul Clarkson, who drew the card caricatures for Living Waters, also does great art work incuding of/for magicians. One of his creations I have been told will most likely be on the cover of The Voice of FCM by the end of this year... wish it was of me (but it is not). He does great work.

I just bought a couple of decks. I do think they are cool. I love the caricatures. Since I collect decks, this one will be a nice addiction.
Thanks for the heads up carolinahusker!

Living in the same city as Ray Comfort and Living Waters headquarters, I was able to swing by and pick up several decks of the Celebrity Decks for all the members of the FCM-OCGAS meeting this month. The cards are plastic so they are not "Bicycle quality" but are very usable. We kicked around ideas at the meeting..and determined they are great for packet story tricks.
Gospel Dan is right, they do not have Bible verses on them. They have questions at the bottom so folks can try to guess who the celebrity is. They do have a reference to http://www.needGod.com as the goal of these was not to be used for teaching scripture, but, as almost everything they create, it was created as a give away in an outreach situation. So they can go check out the website on their own at home, sitting in Starbucks having a cup of java, etc. If we get any solid routine ideas, we will share them on the podcast. ><> J

Hi Kif- Living Waters does great stuff. In the Miser's Dream routine (ala Chris Capehart)for use with a Sunday School class, I bought a bunch of the Living Waters Ten Commandments coins. They work great- are very thin- and fit right into the aligator type clip I have fastened inside the utensil holder can I got from Wal-Mart. The clip is a suction cup clip from Office Max- super glued to the inside of the can (the suction cup will not hold long enough on a round surface). At the end of the routine, I put the can away. Then at the end of the show, I switch cans (they only cost $4.97 from Wal-Mart) to one filled with Ten Commandments coins. Then every child in the Sunday School class gets one when they leave- + it adds to the thought all those coins were produced in the first place. I like the clip idea (actually have two in my can- one holds a giant coin finale) as you can start the routine with your hands 100% empty, and pick up the can upside down and rap on the bottom kinda showing it "empty." Then you simply turn the can over and release the coins into your left hand when starting the routine (the hand holding the can). So you do not even need to get the coins from your pocket first to start the routine or have them rattling around previously. The Living Waters coins are so thin- you can get 10 into the clip. So it works great... The "Mind Game" tract from Living Waters also is a super easy trick- but it amazes me how people study it and can't figure it out...

Whoops, in the above routine, how do you get the first coin in your right hand to do the routine (then palming, dropping the coins stacked in the left hand, etc.)? The answer is simple- just do the Jeff McBride idea of the very first coin being produced being invisible- plucked out of the air. After the first coin is "dropped" into the can (with the sound) from the right hand (actually from the left hand dropping a coin into the can), you pour it out into the right hand where it stays until the end of the routine. The Living Waters coins are as thin as the Abbott's or Nielson palming coins, the only draw back is they are not quite as heavy. Levent in his excellent DVD on the The Miser's Dream teaches gluing several coins together for more noise. By the way, Levent's bucket is also loaded with stuff/heavily gimicked before the routine starts- he too says no one really notices the bucket is never shown empty in the beginning. I really like both the Capehart and Levent DVDs on The Miser's Dream, all of Levent's DVDs are highly detailed... I imagine there are many good Gospel routines out there for The Miser's Dream- may have to look into that more! Have a good day all...

As MagicBus states, the coins are really good. I bought 500 of them over a year ago. I perform several different coins sleights with them, but since learning the muscle pass I like to talk about how when we try to live according to the Ten Commandments we will always fall. But when we repent of our sins, God lifts us up.
I perform the muscle pass after I perform a few coin tricks with the coins first. Then I let them look at the coin for examination. They of course notice that the Ten Commandments are written on them which helps start the topic off about sin. I tried using the coins for Miser's Dream, but use Capehart's sleight of hand method. I can only hide 5 coins though with the 10 commandment coins, and I find they don't make as much noise as half dollars. I decided to go back to the half dollars, but at the end I pour the coins into a change bag where I store the 10 Commandment coins in the other compartment. I let the children grab one of the coins and at the same time let them know that the half dollars have turned into something more valuable. They pull out a 10 Commandment coin. Sorry for my sloopt writing, but I'm writing quick.
