It's been years since I've done my milk pitcher, but I always used to use Pine Sol. Looked just like milk and a quick rinse was all I ever needed.

I like the idea of powdered milk.
No worry with transporting liquids.
Just prepare it when you need it. Just add water.
I'll give it a try.
