Hey all,
I was looking for some help with a method for false shuffling the major arcana (22 cards) and leaving a top stock of about ten cards in tact. One that looks like it makes sense with tarot cards. Right now I'm using a double undercut, but it's a little cumbersome because of the size of the cards. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Jorey

What I would use is a Charlier Shuffle. This creates a very real illusion that the packet is being shuffled. Not suited for a full deck but is ideal for just 22 cards. The result is that the cards will have been cut. To undo the cut you can use any standard artifice e.g. short, crimp, etc.

I would second the Charlier shuffle for a small packet of cards. Otherwise overhand shuffle controls are good for Tarot cards as the size of the cards make most other shuffles a bit awkward depening on the size of your hands, and that's the type of shuffle I've seen most used among people who read Tarot.

I heard from a friend that anecdotal evidence is actually quite reliable. |
