Two things to add- we use acoustic transfer at my company to transfer small quantities of liquids for scientific experiments- it is really cool technology!

I checked the amazon link and there are a few negative reviews, can anyone confirm that the cheaper one from Amazon works well? Some people on there said it either stopped working or never worked well from the beginning. I would like to get one for my desk but want to make sure it operates well.

Thanks,
John

That is some fantastic technology alright. What is most fascinating is the spacing is like the drops are floating on each next higher harmonic octave. I don't know how it is working but that is what it looks like.

This is being incorporated into a display at The Magic Circle. I made a hollowed out deck to house the magnet and the block will be hidden in a book. Look out for it soon should you be visiting.

Now that is different! I have had a Levitron Floating Top since it was first invented. It's the first model that uses the 2 wedges to level the base. They didn't have the electric spinner for it when it came out. Takes some practice to get it leveled and spinning without any wobble by hand but once you get there it's amazing how long it will hover and spin. You have to add and remove weight on the top to get it right too. If it is too light it goes flying up and off to the side too heavy and it just drops. The unusual thing is the weight will change so you have to add and or take away some weight to get it to work again. I figured once yo have it right you are set to go but no sometimes only 5 or 10 minutes can go by and you have to adjust the weight again. Gravity or air pressure maybe both changes I don't know.

Hey Richard, I had the same model and spent many hours equally frustrated and fascinated with it Smile
