At the beginning of Herbert Yardley's Education of a Poker Player he relates a story about how a young man of his acquaintance became a mechanic at around the same time that your book was published. Are you aware of the story and could you comment if that was a typical experience?

We are aware of the story of Mr. Gravey Combs. His story isn't unique by any means, but we can say that he was turned out in the proper manner: sitting opposite a looking glass until he was unable to spot his own moves. It remains a successful recipe to this day. S.W.E. |
