A former classmate and I have found one another on the Internet. When I told him I was into magic, he wanted to see a trick. Unfortunately, he lives on the Left coast, and I on the Right, so we won't see one another to do some face to face. Also our schedules are such that telephoning isn't the best option.
I'm wondering if there is a trick out there that I can have him do by simply reading what I send him. Cards or anything else.
I know that's a tall order, but there's a lot of tall people on this forum.
Thanks!

Not exactly what I meant, but thanks for taking the time to reply and to provide information.

I was thinking more along the lines of an email to the vict...spectator, with a set of instructions, e.g., "First, shuffle the deck. Now separate them into e piles..." etc.

Thanks again, maybe there are not any like this, although I think some of the telephone tricks could be used. I just don't know which ones.

See Verbal Magic by Juan Tamariz. (See the link at Hermetic Press: http://www.hermeticpress.com/product_inf......ts_id=42 )

The book has some fascinating effects that Juan Tamariz performed for a radio program in Spain. This is the best collection of this type of material that I've ever seen. I'm sure that you'll be able to find something that will work for you. The book may also stimulate your imagination.

What about this one that Eric Leclerc posted on his 266th day of his Project Magic 365.
I'm not sure about the origin of the trick, but it's pretty easy to figure out.

Take a look at Jim Steinmeyer's Impuzzibilities books (there are at least three in the series). Some of his effects might be just what you're looking for.
