Mr. Cassidy.....I continue to be blown away by 4DT and I practice it a lot to get it right before I perform it live. When the spectator (my Mother-In-Law) puts the billet in the envelope, about half the time it doesn't come out properly and sticks. It looks like it has something to do with the orientation of the fold.
Having the spectator put the billet in themselves adds so much to this and I'd hate to take it from them to get the right positioning. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Scalito |

Be sure to buckle the envelope several times when preparing it. If you clip the stack of envelopes together, be sure to clip them near the bottom so as not to interfere with the buckle. Finally, and most important, don't let the participant push the billet all the way to the bottom of the envelope. Hold it so that the billet ends up no more than halfway down.
Also, when you prepare the billets prior to the effect, be sure to fold and unfold them several times, creasing them tightly in both directions. This insures that the stolen billet will lay flat and not pop halfway open when you do the "pocket dump." Good thoughts, Bob |
