The Hindu fakir levitation where the magi sits cross legged in the air while one arm is draped over a cane. Does anyone sell this piece?

Thanks,
Sean

Doubtful it's sold as an off-the-shelf item. You'll need to have someone build it. I recently designed one and worked with a local artist/metal worker to put it together. It was for a store grand opening. Turned out beautifully.
It's all in the reflexes.

Hello Sean,
I understand that you are talking about the suspension.
I know that in the past this illusion is built by

Hey Sean,

It doesn't take much to build this and you'll save a lot of money in the long run by going to a local metal shop. (That and I've never seen a builder with a mass marketed version)

Get them to weld it out of square steel tubing and it'll last you forever.

Here's a nice modern adaptation of the stunt.

Trouble with those is "How to get into and out of them" without exposing? I'd like to see what they do.

They probably just set up and tear down when nobody is around, or have a big box placed around them while they do it. I liked the guy with his hand on the wall much better than the guy with the cane.

I think you're right, I think most of them throw a box up or wrap a cloth around themselves to get down. I'm sure you could get someone engineer a version with a harness that all clicks into form...hmm...that could be pretty cool!

This particular format of living statue is spreading quickly around the globe. I heard about a local one for a while.
A couple of days ago, I saw a blanket-covered individual in the middle of a pedestrian street. After a while wiggling under there, the blanket fell, showing the happily floating swami. He was using the regular set-up as seen above in the video, and this is how this particular performer did it. He protected his secret like a magician. Mallorca is home to countless statue performers in the summer.

I've seen Johan Lorbeer (the man who stands with his hand "sticked" to wall) live and he simply sets all up just in front of people at street. Everything can be seen. I think there is even a video somewhere which shows clearly all the setting up.

This is pretty interesting. Does anyone know where you could get plans to make this?

Illusionista in Peru

The reporter is making this out to be the real deal.
Claudia is selling it not as an illusion, but genuine magic.
South American audiences are more willing to suspend disbelief,
based upon my personal first hand experience over several years
in country.

Good, bad, or indifferent.

I like the fact that she is doing it without sleeves, she could in fact let go of the stick.... I am just wondering if the other method is not better.
