I'm sure it's just a memory alloy, sure it's creative bring that into the world of magic, but it was creative years ago when they came out with wiregrams, let alone more recently with the self bending fork, andn ow the self bending key, I own none of them but they utilize the same technology I'm sure, in my opinion the idea isn't bad, but they're drawing them out too long trying to make it "new" and "Revolutionary" and "never before seen" as they do with absoulutely everything, the key and fork should be marketed together as two seperate options of the same effect, the same way they don't claim each different card option in wiregrams is a new effect.
as for weither or not it's good, I'm not sure, the technology is good, but you're not gonna be able to repeat it instantly, and weither or not it looks like a real housekey I have no idea, I can tell you it's not made of the same metal as a normal house key, but weither or not they accomplish a finish to make it look the same I'm not sure |

My key never worked right either, and so it sits in a drawer somewhere.

Does anyone have reviews of its performance in more humid and warm countries?
I live in Singapore and heard that it may be a concern since on some days when temperatures do get warm, the key is already bent. I am still tempted to get this for a performance coming soon since the whether is generally cooler these days, but would be useful to get hear others who had similar experiences as well. |

Rueben,
To be honest, it doesn't stay straight very well even in cool places like Minnesota. In any case, I always carry it around with me (bent). I've found the best place to perform this is at restaurant, because you can usually slip a piece of ice from your glass and straighten the key shortly before performing the trick. |

I like how the effect is clean and simple. But trying to work around the bend if there are any at all before the effect begins. |

It'll probably bend. Get an ice pack.

I'm in UK and house keys don't look like this, which is an advantage. I could say it's the key to my briefcase, filing cabinet or something like that. maybe if it's kept on a key fob (with your initials, or something personal) there'll be a reason for you not to let spectator keep it?

So is the new release of the shift key by Ellusionist better, thicker and/or more reliable that the original?

BTW, I have used wiregrams for years and I always got a great reaction. I am considering adding shift to my walk around arnsel and looking for feedback from those who have the new version of shift. Thanks!

I found my key after a long time in a drawer somewhere, and used my 'absolute zero' by sansminds filled with pipe freezer to reset the key on the fly just before I did the key effect, worked a charm!
did it a few times on a night out along with a coin bend, performed it on a guy in a pizza shop, after leaving, he chased after me begging to know how I did it, even offered me a free pizza |
