I just wanted to say on account for all young magicians like myself (19), you have been a great inspiration for us. Thanks for paving the road.

Thanks so much--I'm flattered. I'm always pleased when other young magicians say things like this because I certainly never consider myself any sort of role model for anyone--I'm still very much a student of magic. In fact, while growing up, I always felt uncomfortable around other young magicians. At conventions, a lot of the kids met and then hung out together. But it always seemed like socializing came before learning about magic, and that always struck me as odd. I can socialize any day of the year...but going to a magic convention was a chance to watch, learn, and buy new stuff, and spend time with the "greats." As a result, I never really had many friends in magic that were my age. But a funny thing happens eventually. All those kids quit or worse, just never improve. That leaves only the serious guys, and I find myself relating to those people greatly. I'm proud to say that in the last couple of years, I've met lots of people around my age that are serious to the same degree I am, and that is sooo refreshing after years of feeling I was in this "alone." It's an exciting time.
