Mr. rob,
The plans for this style backdrop are explained in detail in Barry Mitchell's book, "The Magic of Thinking Creatively." Sincerely,

I used felt available at any local fabric store for my trimble screen. I applied it permanently with one of those spay on permanent adhesives. It finished out the screen and gave it a professional finished look. I didn't have to add anything when I set it up. About 30 seconds up and down one man operation.

Wallmart has tons of fabric usually at $1 per yard. It doesn't chip or scrape off.
Don't overlook ebay and used show display setups. Can be a real bargin if you find the right one. Richard

The backdrop is a great idea, I was looking at the bed frame and thought about it being a stage?
I know it wouldn't be very big, but you could put a oulpe together. My question is, would the bed frame support the weight of a person with a full act on stage,(mine would probally be 100-150+ pounds) or would it crush or break with the weight. Thanks, Sam Pearce |

I guess the only question then is about the distribution of your wieght - you will be standing upright as opposed to laying down flat on it. |

Use a hinged plywood frame on top of the frame as your flooring and that should work to distribute the weight more evenly. BTW, you would be using more than one bed frame to make the stage so you would have increased ability to carry the load. My concern wouldn't be so much the weight load as the stability or wiggle factor in using it as a stage frame.
