I recently got a P@lmo and have been working on a routine where I talk about how the bible says our sins are red like scarlet. Show red silk. But God promises they will be white like wool. Change to white silk.
Then I'm going into the how of "how can this be so?" and explain the gospel- how Jesus died for our sins on the cross and by His stripes we are healed. I'm thinking of combining the way Duane Laflin "explains" his color surprise routine but stressing that the trick isn't what's important- it's the message of Christ that we need to focus on. But when I get to 'by His stripes we are healed' I change the white silk into a red and white striped silk. This is pretty much my first crack at an original gospel effect and I'm really liking the idea. When I get it perfected I may post a video if anyone is interested. Also, any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks and God bless! Ted-

I wonder if that might look better as a progression to the pure white. It just strikes me that the white is the apex of the message, and to go from there to the stripes kinda feels anticlimactic and going backwards.
What about: -- red: our sins like scarlet -- red with white splotches: trying to be good -- red and white stripes: Jesus alone can change us. Our own goodness is not enough. But Jesus came to be the perfect sacrifice: shedding His blood (the red) while yet sinless (the white). And so "by His stripes, we are healed" -- and here you reveal the pure white silk. Just my thoughts. Ed |

Good thoughts too. I'll consider it and see how the Lord leads me.
Thanks for the input Ed

This could be a great stage effect with two P@lm0's. Have one in a ball-holder under your coat or vest edge. Ditch one, steal the other, and do another change. Two 18" silks will fit tightly in a P@lm0. I currently use 15". Three will fit, if they are 9 -12 inches. You see the possibilities here.
Using two of these devices is easy if you know the timing and direction... Doug |

This tip worked for me the one time I used a "Palmo" for a routine -(I believe it was Barry Mitchell's neato hand quicker than the eye silks)- I put a few thick flesh colored rubber bands around it first. That made it really "sticky" to the touch and to stay palmed in the palm rather than pop out.
