I was wondering if anyone makes a large snake gun?

I was considering making a Ghost Busters type of gun with the entire back pack type thing and then plastic this thing and have it shoot out a huge snake.. Might even get a little yellow box and slide on the ground to make it look like its gonna capture a ghost.

Any ideas?

But I can't find it on their website. Maybe it's not on there yet.

Mike Bent made a super soaker type gun that was a snake gun I believe. That might be a place to start.

Madhatter Magic Shop sold it a long time ago. I do not know if they still sell it. You might want to contact them and ask:

David used to use one in his act. He shows it on one of his videos (#24, #28, #31). http://www.ginnmagic.com/DG_prod.asp?Protype=DGAU-001-003 You might want to contact David.

The only probem with these type of snake gunsis schools, libraries and such have NO tolerance at all for it.

So I am trying to be careful how I come up with my own concept.

Kevinr, my immediate thought was "snake camera", now, does anyone make these?

Ickle Pickle makes a snake camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-Lr0yyap_w

Kevin, you might want to make a prop like you described in your first post, looking like a ghost busker gun. Use a vacuum cleaner hose. Trim everything off the snake camera you will not need so it no longer looks like a camera. Glue the small container to the end of the vacuum hose. It should end up looking like a back pack with a hose attached to it with a rectangular end. Hold the hose with your hand. Push the trigger when you need to so the snakes will come out.

I have the snake rifle from the clip. Bought it years ago after reading Ginn's Professional Magic for Children. Used it as a running gag: 'My rinosaurous rifle: they're so scared of it, you won't find one within ten miles of here; my octopomous rifle: they're so...; my Amazonian Flying Snake rifle: they're so scared...but they're invisible...you only know they're here because you can hear them hissing...hey: did you hear that?! (kids quickly add the sound)...frantic swinging the rifle about as searching for invisible snakes...release the snakes.

Drew up idea to use Ghostbusters theme but never followed through. Wanted to add a backpack (trash can with hinged lid) so that at end of running gag I could activate a blower and have a ghost rise/inflate out of canister and loom above me.

Planned to have the hand unit squirt ectoplasm (water) the first go-round, snakes the second time, and confetti from a CO2 wand the third time.

For the blow-off, kids would see the ghost appearing behind me. I wouldn't realize it at first, and then there'd be the chase around the stage ending with the discharging of a confetti wand. By the time the confetti settled, I'd have shed the rig and the ghost would be gone. Sorta an adaption of the clown parade gag of being chased by skeleton plus snake rifle plus the holiday inflatables so prevalent nowadays.

Never worked out a battery powered fan/blower to inflate the ghost.
